2. I saw the band do that song a couple of weeks ago.

They were on a bill with comedian Jimmy Tingle at his club in Somerville (outside Boston). Lots of great political comedy at that show. The guy said that when he wrote the song, it was personal, but he has no problem with the way it was used online. He said that now everyone has the same asshole to rant about.
