I haven't posted much lately.

So I wanted to update everyone, especially those who sent prayers, good vibes, and happy thoughts on this thread:

First of all, thank you. If you could manage some more of the same, I would greatly appreciate it.

The house has not sold, although we have had some very close calls. The lady I spoke of in that thread is still interested, but is still in the process of relocating. We may hear from her in a few weeks.

The builder bailed on us without even writing up a contract for us to sign, which was a disappointment at the time. We have found another builder who is actually easier to communicate with and is willing to work with us on the "healthy home construction" issues. Unfortunately, he can't start the house for six months. OK, maybe that's a good thing, considering the rest ...

Meanwhile, harleydad found out a few weeks ago that his company will not let him telecommute. They had told him for months that he could, and we made all our plans based on that. So now he's looking for a new job. That adds a new wrinkle to the timing of everything.

When it rains, it pours. I have not wanted to be a dark cloud on DU, but I finally came to the conclusion that it wasn't really fair to just disappear, especially after all the great support you gave.

That's all. I could use a heavy dose of positive thinking at this point. It is very hard to stay optimistic. Thanks. :grouphug:

Sorry you haven't been to sell your house yet. I've got a house for sale in Palm Beach County too, and I haven't had any luck either. Just not a good time to sell. I saw your thread before about the St. Joseph's statue, I was going to try it!

You're right ... but doesn't it irritate you to see the Sun-Sentinal post article after article about how bad the market is? Seems like that makes it worse. :grr:

It sure can't hurt to try St. Joseph. We have had more showings than most people, although this week is VERY slow. Good luck! I'll be praying for your house to sell, too. :hug:
