Name a classic TV show that will never be made into a movie...
Dallas is being made. Apparently Ice Cube is doing Welcome Back Kotter.

What's next....Rhoda? Love Boat? Fantasy Island?

Is there an ill-advised TV show remake that Hollywood will not attempt?

Help me think of TV shows that Hollywood will never greenlight as movies.

Once upon a time, I read about a Hogan's Hero movie. But Mel Gibson backed out. I guess it died.

43. Yes. Valerie was played by Valerie Harper.
Apparently (and my memory is fuzzy on this - too lazy to look it up), after problems with the producers over whatever the issue was (money? scripts? control?), Valerie Harper left the show. To preserve continuity, they called it Valerie's Family as a sort of transitional name. Sandy Duncan took over as the kids' aunt, and I think the storyline went that Valerie had died.

I thought I could conceivably see it as a really crappy straight-to-video Kids movie made by Disney. Still, I hope you're right ;)

Probably also The Dick Van Dyke show, Make Room for Daddy, and other shows built entirely around a specific personality.

Then again, they did remake The Honeymooners, but I don't think that one is quite as hard as Lucy would be ...

23. This might be the one they don't remake.
I Love Lucy was built around a star who is no longer with us. A movie version would have to include a Lucille Ball impression, as opposed to just a Jed Clampett or Gilligan impression.

I'm not saying Hollywood wouldn't try it. Heck, Nathan Lane or Mario Cantone could do a good job as either Ricky or Lucy.
