I was happy. Happy to leave your song to die amidst the falling streamers and stink of hormones.
But that wasn't good enough for you. Oh no. And it wasn't good enough, I assume, for the 8th grade dance committee chair who clearly grew up to become a marketing exec hell-bent on finding that "perfect song" to push both crumbly cheese on innocent prime time television viewers, and her career to the next level.
"I know!" Jenny said. "This might sound wild, but I think I've got just the thing to kick this cheese product up a notch in our target demo!" She paused to look each of her team members in the eye. An excited smile beginning to creep across her face as she stepped back from the conference table, savoring what she knew would be the moment she'd make a name for herself with middle management. With a quick straightening of her blazer, she sprung. "Crumbelievable! It's crumbly. It's cheese. Unbelievable?--no, it's Crumbelievable! And the best part--put down your cell-phone sudoku for this boys, we have a ready made--well almost ready made--theme song! I just know young people will respond positively to it--they certainly loved it when I chose it for our year-end dance theme song back in the day. It'll be exciting and fresh but familiar too. So, what do you think? Phil, wanna make some calls, find out who that band was and if we can get the song?"
