Skeletal remains were discovered near my house this week
This was somewhat disturbing to hear, obviously. Some workers found a skull, a shoe and some bones just a few blocks from here, right outside the park where I run and walk all the time.

Apparently it was an elderly man who had been missing from a convalescent center since summer 1992. There aren't many more details, other than he'd been in the hospital not long before that because he was still wearing his hospital bracelet.

I wonder what happened to him? This is right in the heart of Seattle, even though it's a wooded park. It's amazing that he went undiscovered for almost 14 years. Sad. :(
