I didn't even recognize myself
Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 08:54 AM by MissMillie
Someone sent me a picture they had taken just a couple of weeks ago. It was a former student, and it's a picture of him and my boss and me.

and yeah, I'm the short one in the picture. (I wish I hadn't been wearing my hoodie, but I get cold in the office sometimes.)

When I opened it, I barely recognized myself.

Here's why.

This was taken just a couple of months ago:

And this about a year ago:

And this, about 18 months ago:

I don't even know myself anymore! I look, almost.... normal.

(edited for grammar)

1. Good for you!
You have made outstanding progress, MissMillie. I remember when you first announced your intention to workout...and we can see the great, great progress you've made.

You are to be congratulated. I know you've worked hard and diligently...and it does indeed show. This is what persistance, hard work and dedication can achieve.

Great job, MissMillie!!

Congrats to you on the hard work you have put into losing weight!

I'm sure it's not easy but you seem to have willpower needed to tackle a sometimes difficult situation like changing your lifestyle habits.

You don't just look thinner, you look younger and happier too. And I'm a guy that normally wouldn't care too much about a thread like this. :D Congratulations you are doing it.

That's great!

I was never heavy, but because of my disability I've become very sedentary. I'm starting to get a bit round. I have to learn how to diet now, and the idea scares the hell out of me.

16. Thank you all so much
I think what made me not see myself was the hair. I've kind of gotten used to the fact that I'm a lot smaller than I used to be, but the hair just throws me. People have told me that my straighter hair makes me look younger, but I never saw it, until this picture.

Thanks again for all your compliments.

17. HEE HEE!
It's the hair stupid!
Yes, your hair looks lovely as well.

I really thought you were talking about the weight loss and you should also be proud of that. You look great!

But yes, the hair is a big change too.
