Is it cool/allowed/possible/kosher to shamelessly self promote
one's other net activities ( for instance selling on ebay) here in the Lounge? I have just begun to have a small amount of success selling on ebay and it occured to me, hey maybe the folks over on DU would be interested....I am just not sure if it is frowned upon or not.

2. Depends. If someone says they would like a something, and
you say your selling it, perhaps O.K. however, I think that if you said "I'm selling this" or "buy this" oTher thingS might happen. (Capitalisation; deliberate)

I don't see why that would be a problem. Unless of course, you start screwing over people with their purchases they might make from you, which I doubt you would do

Do not use our message board for personal fundraising, for-profit advertising, or selling products or services, except in the specially-designated "DU Marketplace" forum. We will occasionally make an exception in cases where the product or service contributes to the Democratic or progressive cause, provided that you ask an administrator for permission before you post.
