1. I woke up at 3:30 this morning with heartburn.
I hadn't had it in a really long time. I think it was all the popcorn and Diet Coke I had at the movies.

3. Its so annoying
Yeah snack foods like that do the trick, I always got it real bad when I had goldfish and soda.

2. Have you had yourself thoroughly checked out?
I developed acid reflux disease when I was 34 years old. I had none of the predisposing factors: I didn't smoke, didn't drink much, wasn't overweight and in fact pretty thin. But I have a family history. Long story short, I have lived that misery and am at present free of heartburn. One thing, though: the Nexium ads will tell you that persistent heartburn can be more than just heartburn. It's true. Have it checked out if you haven't already.

5. It might be.
Acid reflux disease can cause heart arhythmias and palpitations, even asthma. This probably isn't what you're talking about though. I do wish you well.

6. I laid off the coffee and the alcohol and my acid reflux disappeared
I only get it when I drink either of the above...so I only enjoy them once in a while, now.

8. Kleeb!
Wow... nice to see you around again!

I used to get heartburn even if I'd only eaten bread and water... or nothing at all. Then I found Nexium. :)
