Laura Bush's Miracle Twins (possible with the help of fertility)
http://www.nypost.com/gossip/pagesix/pagesix.htm

March 22, 2006 -- FIRST Lady Laura Bush gave birth to twin daughters Jenna and Barbara only after taking powerful fertility drugs, according to a major new book.
In "Laura Bush: An Intimate Portrait of the First Lady" (Random House), best-selling author Ronald Kessler reports that, after trying for more than three years to have children after she married George W. Bush, Laura took clomiphene citrate, which induces ovulation and helps increase egg production and often leads to multiple births.

When that didn't work after a few months, Laura was given a shot of gonadotropin to adjust her hormones to help her conceive.

"Her temperature went up on a Saturday, indicating she was ovulating," Laura's close friend Nancy Weiss told Kessler. "On Monday, she had the shot. Within a few days, they believed she was pregnant. When Laura took the second medication, it worked immediately. So the twins were miracle girls. She obviously was not able to carry children without the hormone adjustment

1. I'm sure Ma Bush was understanding when she realized....
That Laura was not going to be a baby-making machine. No George Bush III!

Yes, I'm being sarcastic. Laura probably would have liked more kids. And I'm sure the Mother In Law From Hell was a bitch about it.

See--this bleeding-heart-liberal can understand one of the reasons Pickles probably continued her retreat from reality. It probably really was an accident when she killed her ex-boyfriend. And she could have used some discussion & therapy to deal with the horrible event. But the family probably just assured her that things would be taken care of. And the nice family doctor had some pills that would help her forget....

Of course, Laura is a grown-up woman. Others have dealt with troubles. Maybe she'll wake up someday.

2. Was there any 'selective abortion' involved?
Many times when fertility drugs are used, it produces multiple embryos some of which need to be selectively aborted because the mother can't carry that many babies.

I know Laura is pro-choice but Dubya isn't. If there was selective abortion he's a bigger hypocrite than ever. No surprise there.

4. George Bush became pro-choice long after the kids were born
there is rumors about his underage girlfriend he helped to get an abortion back before RoeVWade existed. Plus George was pretty much a party-boy, drunk cokehead so the concept of abortion wasn't such a 'vulgar' term to him back then

3. So after a series of scientific procedures invented to aid conception,
a miracle happened.

Ok. I think the miracle in this instance would be having "relations" with George and not vomiting all over oneself, but that's just me.

To be fair, I understand how difficult and heartbreaking it can be for people who are unable to concieve. And I know, after trying and trying and finally having something work--it's a wonderful thing. I've seen what some of my family members have gone through. I'm not trying to discount any of that. I just always find it amusing to see someone detail all the medical procedures and scientific advances they used, the sole purpose of which was to help them conceive, and then conclude by saying "it was a miracle!" Ahh, people. We're a goofy bunch.
