Newborn kitten photos! Get your fix

My latest foster cat gave birth this afternoon. Lindsay is the proud Mom to five babies, 3 orange tabbies, 1 black tiger striped and one black with cool orange markings. Welcome to the world little ones.

Enjoy the photos, sorry for the blood. Be thankful you don't have to clean the carpets.

When I see newborn kittens I always remember a funny story from about 45 years ago when my friend's younger brother was showing his older lady babysitter their cat's new kittens. "Oh, God gave Walter* these lovely little babies!" the babysitter exclaimed. "God didn't give them to her, they came out of her butt", was the little boy's frank reply.

(*mom cat was named before determining her gender)

What a sweet, precious mamma kitty; you are such a good soul for caring for her.

As a foster mom, what happens next? Do they all get spayed/neutered when the time is right and placed?

Our MommaKitty brought us her three babes almost this time last year - MK decided the feral lifestyle wasn't for her and trusted us enough to bring us her girls (we've kept all of them, I couldn't stand to give any of them away).
