That's It! DISH Network is toast! DAMMIT! (obviously a RANT!)

Was just watching Colbert a few minutes ago and there was a commercial for Navy Seals. For about 10 seconds at the end of that ad, DISH has an overlay screen marker with "Press SELECT to learn more about the Navy" as a direct link ON FUCKING TV, to access the Join the Navy channel!

FUCK YOU,DISH NETWORK!

Am moving to another state in the next couple of months and if I quit them now, will have to sign up with someone else for a year. BUT QUIT THEM I WILL!!

If it turns out that I can switch to cable with a company that also operates in OK, then I will switch before I move.

It was the most disgusting BS that I have had to pay for ever! I buy TV connection and it's stumping for the military. Fuck that!

Now...please don;t tell me COX or others are doing the same on cable?!?!?!?!

That's total bullshit.

Adelphia doesn't do that...I have digital/DVR. In the past few years I've also had Cox and Time Warner...neither of them did it either.

I'm w/o cable right now, and was thinking of getting sattelite, but had only really considered Dish because they're apparently the only folks who offer FSTV. I saw it at a friend's house a year ago, and was hooked.

But this direct click the remote to go to a Navy site is total BS.

If I see it again, am clicking "Select" on it to see what the channel number is...and will post it. Have clicked through my channels, and there is no channel to be found, but there was a DISH "Click SELECT" link on my screen about 15 minutes ago. :mad:

Come to think of it, this strikes me as a Call To Arms.

This is total BS. Already there are Navy troops being put in place for Iraq combat. Friend of mine works at the Navy base here, and told me this was beginning about two months ago.

Not sure if other providers do the same - if not now, they soon will. But Dish is the ONLY one that carries FSTV which is worth far more than than the negatives of any such offensive advertisement.
