The reason for my little rant, I'd like to point out, is: Ugg is an old Australian name, strine-short for 'ugly', and an important part of our histroy (No, REALLY) and our identity... recently an American company patented the word, which is in common use here, by changing the spelling to 'UGG' and calling it a brand name (they won, but an appeal brought them down).

Basically, the word 'UGG' means all-for-profit-screw-everyone-destroy-everything-who-gives-a-shit-about-anyone-else , but with a few more 4-letter words. As such, I would take it *very* kindly if you would call them 'Ugg' boots. Thankyou.
All posters who don't say "It's a type of boot don't you have them in Australia" will receive a hug... until I go to bed soon.
