2. Reminds Me Of That Woman On TV's "The View" Who Said...
... that she would NEVER trust an atheist. (Or that atheists couldn't be trusted... or some similar negative broad-brush comment about atheists.) What a bitchy thing to say!! -- Which one was it anyway?

5. "Star" Jones
She was a spokesperson for Payless Shoes.
I wrote them a letter a couple of years
ago and told them what I thought of their
choice of "spokesmodel".

I haven't bought a pair of shoes there
since.

DSW is my best friend now.....

3. Here's an interesting phenomenon.
I am a Buddhist. I am, therefore, an atheist; I do not believe in a personified deity. I do believe in a sort of divine universal principle; I have a sense of the spiritual, of the numinous, but I do NOT personify it, and do in fact often tell people I am an atheist because I am a Buddhist.

Yet the reaction I get from people when I have this conversation is, "That's different; you're not REALLY an atheist."

I wonder why?

6. Because their labeling system cannot compute such a concept.
Adjusting said system requires thinking, which is painful to the majority of humans I've met.

'hates God and Jesus Christ'

it's just too much for them- their brains implode.

8. Goodness. That's distressing, though not surprising.
But in some small way I take comfort in the fact that people who worship imaginary playmates don't trust me.

10. Why do I never get these calls at my house?
I'm a Christian who has no problems w/ atheists.

I bet I've been blackballed from all calling lists.
