To all D.U. Mothers.

Simple enough - but you form one of the most undervalued groups on the planet. Barely a day goes by without a thread here in the Lounge from a mother sharing her latest joy or tribulation from raising up the next generation - for most of the year we allow all of your hard work to go unnoticed...so, I'd like to take this opportunity to say to you all:

Happy Mothers' Day

P.S. Before you all decide that I've gone mad - this is Mothers' Day here in Britain (.... and probably just about everywhere other than America).

3. My day's been very good thanks.
Joined with my sisters to make lunch for my mother.

I only managed to reduce her to tears once (whilst proposing a toast to her) which is actually remarkably little.

I hope that you've had a good time too.

I love being a mom.....and my girls have profited from my love.....

They are so much better than I could ever hope to be, and at a much younger age too......

Smarter, stronger......and prettier too.......

I thank you! What a sweetheart you are! Your mom must be very proud...

I know I would be, if I'd had a son like you.....

11. You've still got a little while yet...
Keep an eye out for the grotesque tacky displays in card-shops - they always appear a few weeks beforehand.
