whoops. i mistook misogyny for racism

I was skating in a Polish neighborhood with a friend, and we stopped into a store to buy nail polish. My friend and I wandered the store separately. I noticed all the women glaring at me (I'm black). Since I'm not used to people looking at me with such contempt I was really pissed off. My friend(who is white) bought some very cute nail polish and we left. She then mentioned how awful it was that those women hated us because we're skaters. D'oh!

Here I thought they were racist bitches, and it turns out they're women who hate women who refuse to be crippled by modern day "traditional" gender roles. So I want to apologize for assuming that these women were racist. And then send out a big fuck you to women who expect all girls to live like they're in a sitcom.

they were just hanging out on a weekend afternoon giving out dirty looks and sounds of disgust

maybe then didn't like you cuz you're black, and they didn't like your friend cuz she hangs out with black people.

either way they were obnoxious women.
