But what I was thinking of was... okay, her favorite toy is an old shoelace, and I thought it'd be cool if I soaked the "fun" end in a catnip extract.

That other stuff might work fine if it's concentrated. Otherwise, that bottle wouldn't last long.

12. Get some dry and heat some water and do it like tea.

That is what we did when we were trying to get two of them to get along. we rub some liquid catnip on the new one and the next day they were just fine with each other.
