Here we are at yet another "Hump Day"! :bounce: How are you this morning? I hope all is going well for you! Everything is splendid in the Clintmax household I'm happy to say! :bounce:

I'd like to get an opinion from you about something: I want to get a "vanity plate" for the front of my car (you know...the plastic ones they sell at the malls to cover the plate holders on the front bumper of your car so you don't have this empty black license plate holder right in front). They have all kinds of pre-made ones...car manufacturer logos and models, sports teams, etc...but they also make custom ones too. They are laser cut and you can have anything you'd like on them. Here's what I was thinking: Black background with bright yellow lettering that just says: Clintmax. I think it would look cool on my yellow car, but I'm not sure about having my name right there for all the world to see. What do you think? Any suggestions?

I just made an arse of myself at the office laser printer. :dunce:

whenever I print something it prints out a cover sheet for me. I only just learned it isn't even supposed to do that.

So I had to print out 11 program control documents, or PCDs for short. These are printed on pink paper, so I had to set the print option to manual feed (otherwise it would print on regular white paper from the tray). So I went up to the printer and manually fed in my pink paper, forgetting about the cover sheet, which was duly printed on pink paper. I got a bit flustered and forgot to feed in the next sheet, so instead it took from the tray and printed my PCD on white paper. My boss is standing next to me waiting to use the printer while I am fucking all this up. Finally I get the idea and start getting it right, but the remaining 10 PCDs alternated with a cover sheet each time, remembering when to feed and when not to feed takes so fucking long, all the time with my boss waiting for the printer!

Lunch is my typical: salad, bread, cheese (white stilton with abricots) and soup (vichyssoise) - though I'm in the mood for something like a thick rare steak (naughty naughty me).

Are you taking your chances with the staff canteen, or have you brought your own?

It's sweet and sour something or other...not very keen on that. I may have baked potato & beans again. :)

I was warned off it - and on the basis of some of the cooking smells one gets, probably a good thing.

I gotta try to find the post office in Wellingborough at lunchtime to see if I can post this DU moderator confidentiality agreement thingiemajig.

I am doing fine. Got the modul I was playing with yesterday to work (with help of the library software company) and am busy otherwise as well.

I try to stay busy so that I have not much chance to think of him, but he wiggles himself into my thoughts again and again.

I told my mom about him. She said I shouldn't bug him. I should let him "conquest" me. Letting him hunt me. I hate that but I guess she is right.

don't do it that way then. You have to conduct yourself the way YOU want to. If you don't like to be "conquested", then I wouldn't even go down that road.

Just chilling out, cookie some breakfast. Had to wake up extra early to write a few papers. Mainly, I couldn't sleep so I just said, "Screw it" and decided to get up. 5 hours of sleep isn't bad. Pretty solid actually. :)

As for the info: It may be possible that the right events could do it. First item: Getting past that wall that people put around their beliefs.... that's the reason why the freeps appear not to listen to sense; every time you propose a counter-argument that would do damage to the belief system, the wall around said beleifs blocks it.

Get past that wall and things would be a lot easier I'm sure. The only problem is that those walls are MILES high and they are EXTREMELY difficult to climb or break down.

Second day without water. Fun fun.

No water! :scared: Couldn't they have just turned off the water to the fixtures in the bathroon they are working on? Why did they have to turn off the water to the whole house? :shrug:

While changing my kitchen faucet this weekend, the new one couldn't be put on because the threads on the supply pipe were rusted off. I called a plumber to try and fix that. Bottom line: 60 y/o galvanized plumbing, not good. Since the house is half torn up, I'm getting all the plumbing replaced. I was aware that this would need to be done in the not so distant future. So better now than after the new bath or kitchen goes in. Or worse, leaky pipes at 3 am.

I'm sorry you don't have any water though. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

Road-tar coffee is a sign of now knowing how to brew it properly. Sounds like someone needs a lesson in proper coffee making. :rofl:

The only drawback I could see about the custom "Clintmax" plate is that you could be potentially outing yourself to any Freepers in your area who lurk on DU (and we know how vindictive they can be). :scared: If you're not worried about that, go for it. :thumbsup:

I think that was the thought that has kept me from doing it so far. I wouldn't want some idiot freeper doing anything to my new car. Tallahassee is a very liberal city...very blue, but you never know. How's everything with you today?

I'm off in a little under an hour, after which I go home and to bed (yay). This evening I have a stupid meeting for my weekend job (is there any other kind?). Then back to work at 11. :shrug:

And no...most meetings are stupid. I haven't been to one in years that actually accomplishes anything.

It's about the "updated" behavior programs for two of the clients. 90% of the time their version of "updating" a BP means they slap a new date on the same program as they had the previous year and have everybody sign off on it. So now I have to waste who knows how long of my evening for that, when I could easily read and sign off on them during my regular shift. :eyes:

I've had THAT sort of thing too. Ridiculous. I'm sorry you have to deal with that tomorrow. :hug:

The meeting lasted 15 minutes, and we all stayed there another 15 just to make it marginally worth our while. Considering the 15 mile drive each way , that 1/2 hour pay didn't even reimburse me for my gas and latte. :shrug:
