That's SIR Tom Jones to you

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060329/en_nm/jones_dc_1

LONDON (Reuters) - Welsh singing legend Tom Jones was knighted by Queen Elizabeth on Wednesday in honor of the hip-swiveling star's four decades of performing.

Jones, 65, whose real name is Thomas Woodward, received the accolade for services to music at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London.

"It is fantastic. I love seeing the Queen and I have always been a royalist," he told the BBC afterwards.

"She is lovely and she still is lovely. She has got a great smile and her whole face lights up when she smiles."

1. Good for him
I never really had a problem with that guy. He always seemed like a pretty good person to me.

2. Wait, Jimmy Page is working to help feed & home the poor & he gets an OBE
while Tom Jones gets knight for swiviling his hits?

I'm starting to think this whole "Knight" thing is a joke

BTW - Jimmy Page is very involved with Harvest House and working in Rio in the barrios to help with housing for low income (his wife is Brazillian)

3. He is also a serial adulterer
I thought that he confessed having had more than 1,000 women in his life. That must account for something as well, because somehow I doubt whether I come close...

6. Oh and Sir Mick Jagger wasn't?

I'm sure you can also take a look at the lives of Paul McCartney and Elton John and find plenty of skeletons in their closests too
