"March of the Penguins" really is a remarkable piece of film.
That one scene, where the sun rises and then sets, all in one continuous, time-lapse shot, is worth the price of renting the DVD. But there are many other beautiful sights in it too. And the actions of the penguins provides further proof that animals really are far superior to humans and should rightfully inherit the Earth.

3. Just watched it for family night last weekend.
Everyone...the grandparents right down to my two year old...was mesmerized by it.

What an amazing piece of work.

4. Wait until you get "Planet Earth"

Although I'm really looking forward to the March of the Penguins DVD. Out of interest, does it come with the option to play the original French audio track? I don't think I could take 90 minutes of talking penguins, but I'm curious to see how they treat the material.

5. I wish I had checked that before I returned it. I believe there was a
"languages" option on the main menu, but I didn't investigate it. The English narration by Morgan Freeman is just a slight bit on the corny side, but not too much. Mostly it is informative and unobtrusive. I read that the French soundtrack give the penguins voices, which I think would be tacky. Some people have watched the movie with the sound turned off, but I thought the music added a lot to the movie.
