Poll question: What movie villain comes closest to George W. Bush?
Of all the villains in all the movies, which one do you think comes closest to our glorious leader? There are far to many to list in one poll, so I thought of a few really famous ones and will leave the rest up to you to discuss as you choose. Enjoy.

10. Stephen King has created some great villains.
But it is interesting that three were named in a short amount of time.

17. King's politics are very similar to many DU'ers
So naturally, many of his villains (the human ones at least) tend to be of the conservative bent. The government agents in Firestarter, the men who created the plague in The Stand, you name it. So it doesn't surprise me that King villains would come to mind when comparing them to Dubya.

14. He's stupid, so that
leaves out all the intelligent criminals. He's evil, so that leaves out all the criminals who might have been good at one time, but pushed over the edge. (I see Darth Vader in that category, because he didn't start out evil)

It's a woman, but I think he most resembles, in SOOOO MANY ways, the daughter of Joan Crawford's character, Mildred Pierce, in the film of the same name. The daughter, Vida, was a spoiled rotten brat, who was evil to the core. She eventually murdered her lover (who was her mother's husband), and Mildred was going to take the rap for her.

I think of all villains that she fits the heinous character flaws the most of Bush, and the upbringing of both also pretty much has them pegged.

The John Sayles film with Chris Cooper as the dim-bulb gubernatorial (emphasis on the GOOBER) candidate. It was a perfect match. But i guess he did sort of base the character on him, so I don't know if taht really counts.

43. My pick is a tv villain, of sorts. Rosco P Coltrane from the Dukes
of Hazzard. High on confidence, short on competance, both Rosco and * have the anti-Midas touch and are simple puppets of smarter, greedier men.

* should've played Rosco in the recent Dukes movie. He is a dead ringer for Rosco, he's got the dumbass expressions down pat, and who would be more believable as a bumbling, corrupt, small town sheriff? It would've saved the country and a terrible movie in one swoop!

Oh and Cheney looks kinda like Boss Hogg too.
