"China Beach," too.

Give me strong women.

How about you?

PS Somewhere, I have a box full of "Cagney & Lacey" episodes on tape . . . BETA! (Someone else can tell the youngsters what Beta was.)

You can place your e-mail on a waiting list; I have.

Great cast, terrific writing, and it introduced me to The Waitresses, too.

But it's $99.00 per season. That's way too much for any show. Most shows are $50-$60. Pisses me off. I think I'll just get me one of those DVD ripping programs and burn them myself.

17. Best website for that:
http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com

They have lots of sales and lots of bargains. Try them first. I buy a few every month, even if it's a single DVD, my collection has grown quite nicely. You can maintain a "wishlist" and order from that monthly, and keep adding to it, or you can simply search and order. I keep the wishlist so I can keep track.

30. That episode was fantastic. Rip Torn was my favorite but
everyone on that show was great. And Hank was just a brilliant character all around.

One of my favorite Artie lines is from the episode where Larry gets invited to the White House for a dinner. Larry's explaining what the invite is for to Artie who responds: "Why that's both hoity and toity!"

I second your Get A Life request too. I was just a kid when it was on but I remember begging my dad to let me watch the last episode. Just begging him. But no--he had to watch frickin' Spartacus. I got so pissed about it that I actually got sent to my room for yelling, "Stupid Spartacus will be on a million times before you die! I'll never see this again! You're a terrible, mean dad!"

Not the silly interview show, but the cool sci-fi show with Matt Frewer, Amanda Pays, and Jeffrey Tambor. Prescient show about the merger of media, corporations, and government as well as TOTAL information awareness. Smart, funny, well produced, and Amanda Pays! :)

Bought boots off the internets, but they didn't play. Go figure.

I repeat... Amanda Pays:

29. I don't think it's ever going to happen.
Firstly, the fans won't want the episodes that are currently cut for synidcation, and to get copyright clearance for all the songs that they played so that they could use the original episodes would cost too much money, making the sets VERY expensive when they hit the shelves (think 100 bucks per season set) and take too much time.

I'm not sure about the westerns I used to watch - The Virginian and High Chaparrel. Probably give those a skip.

But it's nice to see programs through adult eyes as compared to my kid eyes of the past. Like the original Outer Limits. Completely different. As a kid, I thought The Avengers was too chatty. Now it's great!

59. Mission: Impossible!
The movies - and Tom Cruise - suck worse than any remakes (and sequels of remakes) I have ever seen.

Such utter garbage.

The TV show, however, was excellent (1966-1973), and even the later show (1988-1990) was pretty good, though it ripped off the old one a lot.

The plots are brilliant, and if you don't (or can't) follow them, you can't tell what's going on. So naturally, few of my friends can stand this show.

Even had a pretty famous cast, too. Steven Hill, Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, Peter Graves, Leonard Nimoy, Sam Elliot...and just about every famous actor/actress at the time was a guest star on this show.

72. McCleod's Daughters in USA DVD format.
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 12:55 PM by CottonBear
I'm dying to see seasons 4-6. I don't want to have to order the Australian DVD, pay to have it shipped from Australia and then have to buy a special universal DVD player which will play it.
I think a company may release a USA format DVD. There are thousands of US fans of this show.

The stupid WE network stopped carrying the show after season 3. The Hallmark Channel shows it in Britain but not in the USA. :(
I want seasons 1-6 on DVD.
The show is in its 6th season in Australia.

Dammit. I miss watching McCleod's Daughters on Saturday nights. :(

I love that show. It is so much better than most of the crap that is on American TV. The actors are great, the writing and stories are wonderful, the scenery is awesome, the music is beautiful and I love horses! Claire died and the new woman came to Drovers Run and that's how season 3 ended. I don't go to the non-USA web sites for the show because seasons 4-6 will be spoiled for me if I do!
