Woke up this morning and a turtle....
..was laying eggs in my front yard ! It took her about 3 hours, she covered up her future babies, then waddled into my backyard and jumped in the lake!

Am I in charge now? Are these now my responsibility? I've been googling all day, and here's what she looks like:

You're my only hope obi wan k'loungies :hi:

1. Looks like a painted turtle.
And yes, you are now responsible for the turtle pups. You'll have to nurse them and let them sleep on your bed and find good homes for them.

Or, at least, when the eggs hatch, watch them until they make it to the lake.

3. Yeah that's a painted turtle.
There's a lot of them by me. I used to always have a couple babies as pets when I was a kid. We'd keep them until they were a few inches long and set them free.
