Mr. BAL's doc shuttered up and not answering the phone, how to get his

medical records?

Today he had severe pain in his right side, we went to ER for it but I think they discharged him too soon.

Here's why--he had JUST returned from a CT scan and X-Ray of the afflicted area and there was no possible way that the radiologists could have even looked at one, much less both. They sent us home with treatment plans for a muscle strain, although it seems pretty clear now that it's a kidney stone--again, prolly no big deal but still.

They told us his PCP was not answering at all with any contact numbers and the answering service had no information.

Anyway, I think Mr. is on the road to recovery, but we need to get his records while we find another doc. Anyone have some advice?

We are definitely not ready for a lawyer or even the medical board yet; we are hoping for a sane resolution at this point.

What are his patients suppose to do with him incommunicado? You definitely need a new doctor.

Perhaps the new doctor could get them from the old doctor? It might be easier for he/she to handle it if your current doc is so inconsiderate of his patients.
