2. RFK's death was a week before I graduated from high school
A turbulent time in our nation, and a rough time for me personally (I had some problems as a teenager).

I have sometimes wondered what it would have been like if he, or his brother, or Martin Luther King had lived longer.

I am glad about his son now speaking out about the 2004 election theft.

3. RFK's funeral on TV is one of my earliest memories
I was three years old.

I wish his first inauguration had been instead.

4. Me too!
It was one of my earliest memories, also. I remember wondering if the world would come to an end because everyone I knew was crying...it seemed like the breaking point.

5. This reminds me that violent zealots kill rather than being wrong

Racist, angry nutjobs killed the Kennedy brothers and MLK, Jr. These sorts of people are now the people who have risen to control the government, and the voting machines, and the political agenda. We are all being ushered into their hateful divisiveness because no one hears us because no one speaks for us.

Part of the reason we live in the hateful world we live in today is because these people were killed.

This makes me sad.

6. How well I remember that day.......
He had JUST won the California primary.......

And we were so happy, thinking he just might be our next President....

And then he was shot......

The horror was almost unimaginable......

I felt we'd descended into darkness forever.

I guess we had....and we're still stuck in it......

7. I remember where I was on that day.
I got to shake his hand earlier that year.
