"SHUT THE FUCK UUUUUUUUP!!!"
(Me, a half-hour ago, to the neighbours across the back from us, after their dog had been barking in their backyard for three and a half hours.)

Whaddaya know? It worked. For now, anyway. I suppose I'll live to fight another day.

The dog's always barking or whimpering in the backyard, and she rarely gets walked. They obviously don't want her. Fucking get rid of her, and give someone who cares a chance.

4. I don't know. I'm calling the SPCA tomorrow.
He's got a better chance that way. Hell, that's how we found our lab two years ago.

(That's him in the middle.)

6. Good for you, tuvor.
I'm glad you're trying to help that poor dog.

Btw;

You have some beautiful dogs, yourself.
I'm so glad they were rescued.

You are a good man!:D

7. You're far too kind.
The pug we bought from a breeder, and the other lab is my sister-in-law's.

Thanks for the compliments, they are definitely great dogs! :hi:

8. Keep us posted!
My next dog SHALL be a Lab. It has been decreed.

About that pix, I suspect some sort of tasty morsel was present just out of frame? :-)

9. About that pix...
Yes, that "tasty morsel" is my wife.

Oh, and she happened to have doggie treats to distribute. :)

(I think I'm a Lab convert, too. Good luck!)

2. That's exactly the situation I was in two weeks ago.
Fortunately they got rid of the dog.

3. That is so damn sad!!
Why in the hell do people get an animal in the family
if they're not going to take care of him/her??

Damn them !!!

I feel so sorry for that poor dog- neglect is a form of abuse.

5. Some Christmas gift, I'll wager.
You're right. Neglect is just as bad as any active abuse.

11. Do you read much Albee?
Some poison, some hamburger meat. A quiet doggie.

No, don't do that, but definitely read some Albee. Fantastic absurdist drama.

12. LOL
A friend of my parents, a minister - the most mellow, easygoing, unprofane guy on earth - retired to a quiet acre in Arkansas, but had a neighbor across the road with lots of chickens and a demented rooster that crowed all the time. One day, after several hours of continuous crowing, this easygoing minister stepped outside and, imitating the cadance of cock-a-doodle-doo, shouted "SHUT THE FUCK UU-UP!" I still get a belly laugh thinking about it.
