What song(s) put you most in danger of losing your hearing?
I'm dating myself here, but:

For some reason I can't listen to many of "The Who"'s songs on a high enough volume.

I once blew my car speakers out listening to Tom Petty's American Girl.

I went to a Van Halen show when I was in High School and I couldn't hear very well for a day or so after that, so I'll probably be deaf in another 20 years or so. Funny, it didn't seem that loud when I was at the show.

Any songs that you can't ever turn up loud enough?

5. All of them, if you turn the volume up too loud!
:P I love certain songs loud, though. "Blitzkrieg Bop" by the Ramones just CAN'T be played at normal volume! :)

14. Two come immediately to mind
Deep Purple, "Highway Star," on "Made In Japan." That whole album's the best cranker I've ever heard.

And Pat Travers' "Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights)" on "Go For What You Know."

We used to screw Uriah Heep up to 11, too — particularly "Look At Yourself."

16. My ears are still ringing from a Cheap Trick concert 25 years ago
Although three Van Halen, one Kiss, and some Styx, Who, Queen, ZZ Top and AC/DC didn't help. I'm assuming that Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Barry Manilow didn't do much damage. And I love Barry Manilow--got a problem with that?
