What's the best headphones for the iPod?
My current headphones have the wires exposed, so it's time to get a new pair. I went to Apple's site and they were charging $40 bucks or so, which is ridiculous.

I just need a pair of earbud headphones with good sound quality. Any suggestions?

1. I have some earbuds from Sony.
They only cost me about 11 dollars and they have good bass.

I don't get it. How can you spend more for headphones than for the iPod? Anyway, makes the $40 Apple wants seem reasonable!

7. Oh God, NO! Those $40 earburds are an outright ripoff.
I bought $80 wireless headphones from HP for my iPaq, but they work with any bluetooth-compatible device.

Their quality is better than any earbud set I've used. Not as good as $80 wired speakers that look like you've got a muffin tethered to each side of your head, but very good nonetheless...

8. here is what I have for my ipod
www.shure.com/PersonalAudio/Products/Earphones/ESeries/index.htm

I use the E3s but if you are into classical, you should spring for the E4s and if you are a real audiophile, the E5s.

Mine are great. The fit is much better for exercising, the sound quality is much better, and background noise is almost eliminated.
