How many of you lost weight during your divorce or breakup and how much? and did you gain it back? I'll start... I've lost 40 pounds in the past 6 months, and have gained back about 10 and have evened off there for awhile now. RL

2. I lost about 20 pounds...10 during the anxiety leading up to it, and
another 10 after the separation. This was in about three months. I gained it all back (I didn't need to lose it to begin with) gradually over several months.

5. I always lose weight when I'm going through a break-up.
I have new clothes in 4 different sizes hanging in my closet to prove it.

15 leading up to, 30 during the following year. The last 15 put me at borderline skeletal. I just couldn't eat and when I did I would throw up. Eventually I gained back about about 30 and have stayed within about 10 pounds or so. When ever I have a stressful period I usually lose weight cause my digestive system is most affected.

10. Eighteen pound out of 130 during the phase when I
was coming to grips with the end of my marriage. Put 13 back on. I wish it'd only been seven! but I'm exercising every day. Deep sadness makes me lose weight. Less sadness, I gain. I think that might be common for women.

12. I know what you mean. I went from a size ten
to a four. I'm at a six right now because some of the weight I've gained is muscle.
