"Get a good grip on your weiner..." actual comment by soccer coach at
our son's AYSO picnic. He was talking about the wind, and the kids, and the hot dogs...His daughter had dropped hers. So why am I still giggling about this two days later? God, it was the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. To be used often on hot dog nights at our house.

Best double entendre I've ever heard. :) :hi:

1. LOL!
I wouldn't recommend *too* good a grip, though. Don't want it coming right out of the bun. :scared:

4. Brian Johnston (RIP) of Radio 4's Test Match Special
was expert at those. During a Test match between the West Indies and England, West Indies cricketer Michael Holding was to bowl to English player Peter Willey. The commentator at the time, Brian Johnston, described the action, quite accurately, as "The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey".

He spent the next five minutes giggling. :D

9. He had form
During another match against the West Indies in 1991, after an attempted hook england cricketer Ian Botham spun and became unbalanced as he tried to step over his wickets to avoid standing on them - but in narrowly failing to do so he brushed the leg-stump with his inner thigh and was out.

"He didn't quite manage to get his leg over," quipped commentator Jonathan Agnew. His gag, while sat alongside Brian Johnston in the radio booth, was the cause of much juvenile sniggering. "Do stop it Aggers!" Johnston was heard to splutter in the background while struggling to stifle his laughter. Reduced to tears the pair were barely able to talk for several minutes. Not everyone was amused though and they were, in true schoolboy fashion, banned from commentating together again.

:hi:  :loveya: too!
