Poll question: Poll: Johnny Cash's video rendention of Hurt, or NIN's - which is better
Myself, I think Cash's is better:

NIN's (good as well I might add)

1. It's a great INXS song, but the Cash video
is one of the best videos of all time. The footage of his younger days vs. the (then) present reality for he and June was hauntingly emotional. I love it.

3. Would have to agree
Cash's video is just stunning - and real to life. One of those videos I can watch a million times and not get sick of.

NIN's is cool, just does not seem to have that touch that Cash's has (to me at least).

7. Trent's video was good
Cash's just spoke to me a lot more. Seemed less lynch like and more real life :)

5. In recent days
I have heard that song several times. I haven't seen either of the music videos but I certainly prefer the Cash version. His voice is haunting and I like the acoustic guitar.

I must give Reznor credit though. Didn't he write the song originally?

6. I may be wrong
But I think he did.

The song is awesome, but the videos have a marked difference IMHO. Cash's wins hands down for me :)

9. JC.....
Because it is such a personal song and Trent depersonalized it....

That was his conception and since we can all agree that he tends to favor the shock value of his images, it demeans the meaning of his very personal and haunting song....

Still, provocative and yet somehow sterile when compared to JC....
