he has not taken seriously the times they've made fun of him on the show... he just rolls with it & has fun.

Back when I was a regular listener, they'd often make fun of Takei and his way of speaking

I stopped listening to Stern when he became strongly for the Iraq War... yes, I know he changed with the help of Franken, but by that time Air America was on the air and I've kind of made the switch most of the time.

10. I went running with George back in the early '80s.

Firecracker 5-K in Chinatown area of Los Angeles. He was a friend of a friend. He was the host of the race.

He does have a huge voice. It is almost overpowering if you are in the same room with him. He was openly gay back then, too.

11. I've heard it wasn't very shocking news to Trekkers when he came out.

If I needed a vocal cord transplant, he would be my #2 choice behind James Earl Jones. :)
