Hey, man, the name is STYX, after all, but these lyrics are good:
"The Grand Illusion"

Welcome to the grand illusion
Come on in and see what's happening
Pay the price, get your tickets for the show
The stage is set, the band starts playing
Suddenly your heart is pounding
Wishing secretly you were a star.

But don't be fooled by the radio
The tv or the magazines
They show you photographs of how your life should be
But they're just someone else's fantasy
So if you think you're life is complete confusion
Because you never win the game
Just remember that it's a grand illusion
And deep inside we're all the same.
We're all the same...

So if you think your life is complete confusion
Because your neighbor's got it made
Just remember that it's a grand illusion
And deep inside we're all the same.
We're all the same...

America spells competition, join us in our blind ambition
Get yourself a brand new motor car
Someday soon we'll stop to ponder what on earth's this spell we're under
We made the grade and still we wonder who the hell we are

2. Wow. Between this and Steely Dan...
you're, like, the Bizarro me in regards to musical tastes (or, perhaps, I'm the Bizarro you).

Do you also like Journey, Foreigner and Air Supply?

Do you hate Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Ryan Adams?

We should have a "Crossfire" type show about music, where we can scream at each other for half an hour

3. I don't generally like Styx, actually.

I love the 'Dan, of course, but that's nothing new. :D

Journey---meh. Not a big fan of theirs. Boston's all right, though. I'm pretty cool with Foreigner.

I LOVE Bob Dylan, Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Springsteen, the Beatles and their respective solo acts, ELO, the Eagles, Joe Walsh, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Cream, Clapton, Jimmy Buffett, the Doors, U2, CCR, Peter Frampton, Queen, CSN(Y), Neil Young, Aerosmith, the Stones, Supertramp, Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, the 'Dead.....I'm down with the vast majority of so-called classic rock, both the stuff that diehards like and the more "commercial" stuff.

I'm also way into jazz--Evans, Diz, Miles, Satchmo, Trane, Ellington, etc.

4. IMHO "Grand Illusion" was Styx's best album
They went downhill really fast after that!

5. I heard a Styx song on the radio
the other day...Babe.

I'm embarrassed to say, that I remembered most of the words, even though I hadn't heard it in 20+ years.

(what a damn cheesy song)
