Good Tuesday Morning, Crew!

:hi::donut:
Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I hope your Monday wasn't too crazy as Monday's sometimes can be. Mine was busy at work because we were trying to ready the store for our Regional Director visit today. She called in the late afternoon to inform us that her flight had been cancelled because of the storm that's going to come through here today, so she will not be here. It's been changed to Thursday! My next day off! :woohoo:

Yes, we're going to get hit by Alberto that's coming ashore this morning. It's not a hurricane, but just a tropical storm, thank goodness! We're going to be just fine, don't worry!

So, let's get this day started, my crew! I'm sure it's going to be an exciting one! :bounce:

It's eased up here too. There's a tropical storm coming, you know. I'm glad you didn't have to smother again last night. Do you usually sleep with your windows open? That way, you'd at least get a breeze blowing through.

34. Actually it was too warm to sleep again last night
Even though it did freshen up outside, my flat kept all the heat in. I can't really sleep with the windows open because my flat is on the ground floor and my bedroom faces the street (the windows are only a yard away from the sidewalk).

57. Good morning Billyskank!
Are you getting excited about your trip? I'm actually excited for you! Hopefully the flat will cool off tonight for you. We've been thinking of putting a bed in the sun room because it is so much cooler downstairs than in our room. I've been waking up about 4-5 times every night because of the heat.

I hope your day is going well.:) :hi: :loveya:

62. Hi OhioBlues!
Nice to see you! :loveya: :hi:

I am ridiculously excited about my trip! Anybody would think I'd never been on holiday before! And I'm really looking forward to meeting yvr girl. :D

I have to start thinking about preparation, because I only have a few weekends left before I go.

It is much fresher today, so when I get home I will throw all the windows open and thoroughly aerate the flat. Yesterday I had to keep them closed, because warm as it was, the flat was still about four degrees cooler than the outside, until the early morning.

I think you should go and put the bed in the sun room. Interesting that the "sun room" is cooler, though. ;)

You're up early this morning! :bounce::woohoo: It's good to see you so soon! My internet was down when I got up. x( I called Comcast to see if there was an outtage someplace, but no. So, I needed to check my cable modem. The only problem was...my company is asleep in the room where the cable modem is located. So, I had to creep into the room with a flashlight to see what was wrong. I hoped I wouldn't wake them. I reset my modem and got out of there. I don't think they heard me!

So, I had computer problems first thing today too. x( You have any big plan for today?

I make mistakes like crazy. Luckily...I catch them before I post the responce.

31. Try this for fun ...
laptop on one desk hooked up to a monitor on another desk. I got my laptop to boot up that way yesterday ... it was an emergency! Microsoft Money wouldn't open my backup file so I had to get back to the laptop and take screenshots of all my accounts so I can have a place to start when I load up Quicken. Anyway, looking over at the monitor like that messes up your typing big time! You should try it for fun.

I don't think I'll be quite as busy for the whole 10 months. It's busier at first when you have to go shopping to pick out all the little things. We have to do appliances first ... and my allowance will buy nicer appliances now since I don't have to include a washer and dryer anymore. (BTW, I LOVE this washer/dryer!)

I hope you get some help from the Canon geeks. It really does suck when things aren't working right.

7. Good morning Clint!
My Monday morning sucked. One of my clients decided to have a tirade and I ended up with bruises and scrapes all over my arms. She spent 40 minutes throwing things, trying to tear her clothes off, pinching/scratching/slapping/kicking me, growling and basically acting she was posessed by some sort of demon. It was only because her day program van came to pick her up that I finally was spared.

I love my job, and get paid so well for it.

19. I wonder the same thing myself sometimes
They aren't paying me well by any means. I could likely make the roughly same hourly rate starting out at Wal-mart, and I've been at this agency for nearly 11 years. My other job pays me more and I've only been there 4 years. But I've got all the experience in the field and time in at the agency so I figure I'll just stick it out until I get my grad degree. Then I'll get myself a real job with a real salary (where hopefully I won't be getting beat up )

I'm helping people who many people care very little about to have better quality lives. And even though that one client likes to hit a lot, most of the time it doesn't lead to actual injury, it's just annoying.

At least I'm not a cop getting shot at by slimy criminals. :scared:

79. I certainly agree
with you. When the weather gets like this, my most favorite thing to do it sit outside and read. That to me is like a mini-vacation. Problem right now with that is, I've got new neighbors who have two little yappy dogs. They continually keep barking while I'm outside. Hope they do something about that, or I'll have to have a chat with them. Maybe they should just keep their dogs inside while I'm outside.

88. Now that is an idea

maybe you should give the dogs little treats and piss the neighbors off. Then they will keep the dogs inside when you are out reading

MissH. I'll give them so many treats they get fat and can't move. You're always thinking!

Gotta head for work. You have a great rest of the day, and I'll chat with you tomorrow.

Glad you escaped the visit by the Inspector General. Is it smooth sailing to vacation, now? I did something I'm proud of today: I logged my 500th mile at the Downtown Y Pool.

Good luck with the wind and water!

63. Morning Clint
So glad to hear that you'll be safe from the storm. Suspect it's that season for you down there. Here we've entered tornado season, fun, fun, fun! Guess each location has it's downside.

Still struggling with your software installation? I truly HATE that, and when you call the techs they always make it sound like it's our fault. Pffft! Grrrrr!

71. Good Morning, Miss SimplyF!
:hi::hug:
I grew up in Missouri, so I know ALL about tornados also. You're right...every place has its downside. Something about the weather...

This is different software that's giving me problems now. When I bought my new camera, it came with software (of course) and it's THAT that's giving me problems now. x( I don't know WHAT'S going on.

How are YOU this morning?

77. Oh, I realize it's
your camera software. You sure are having bad luck in that department lately, the loading software department.

Funny story about creeping into the bedroom to check your modem. I can picture you with your flashlight in the dark, like a thief in the night!

I'm doing fine today, sun's out already, which always makes ones disposition great! Good way to start the day.

So you're on a countdown for vacation? Any plans?

And as far as this software is concerned, I don't know what on EARTH can be going wrong. But, it's a pain in the ass, I'll tell you that.

The only plans I've made so far for my vacation is to do absolutely nothing! Sometimes that's the best vacation to have!

65. Good Morning, Clint! I'm off the rest of the week.
Thanks to my co-workers totally pissing me off. Originally, I was going on vacation this week and already had my time off approved. I went in yesterday, because I was thinking that I might just work this week and take off later. I quickly realized what a bad idea that would was. So I'm taking my leave. The weather is beautiful. I can go kayaking and hiking. Plus there's plenty I need/want to do around the house. Oh and some job applications to fill out as well.

Well, we needed the rain - but did we have to get it all at once? Spent many hours last night assuring my furry adoptee that the windy world wasn't coming to an end. She has something to say on about every subject - and who knows what it is?
