graphing calculator --- what should I know about buying one?

The hot-shot 14-year-old in the house needs a scientific graphing calculator for the community college math class this summer. What should I know about choosing one? Any recommendations?

1. I had a TI-85 or something.

I don't really get along with math though. I pretty much just played Drug Dealer and Tetris on it. English class was more my thing.
