How hard is the GMAT?

I'm about to start studying for it. I think I'm too old to be bothering with this stuff. I'm afraid my mind isn't up to the task. I'm too afraid to even start studying!

It's pretty much a test on how to take a test, not so much related to one particular subject, from what I hear.

2. That's sort of what I'm hearing, too.

Someone said that if you take a practice test and you get a certain score, then you need to concentrate more on learning HOW to take the test, not on the material per se. I can't remember the score at the moment, but I thought that was a pretty interesting statement.

Everybody I know took the GRE. I wonder how they compare...

7. That's how the LSAT works -- you don't need to know material in order

to do well. Everything you need is on the test. But you need to know how the test works in order to be able to finish it in the time allotted with reasonable accuracy.

I took a sample GRE and an actual LSAT, but not the GMAT. So I'm of no use there. But good luck!

Don't they give you a practice booklet? Mine was pretty representative of the actual test.
