Doesn't miss it a bit!

Try the AAA though... They do have quite a network.

i haven't had AAA do anything for me i couldn't do better and cheaper myself but if you booking a cruise it's a whole nother story

travel agents no longer get the commissions from airlines etc so most have had to retire unless they are providing a very specialized service

they can't really spend time hunting up airfare for you, when all you are going to pay them is $10 or $20, so you will not get a very good deal if it's airfare you're searching for, instead, try sites such as sidestep.com to do the cheap fare hunting

they can be very harried and overworked in our local office tho

"international" is a big place, if the OP could give us a tiny hint, i bet we could be a lot mor3 helpful
