Is there some kind of significance about receiving an apple in the mail?
Someone sent me an apple with no return address and nothing else in the package. It was sent to my business PO Box and was mailed from somewhere within Miami, according to the postal seal. Specifically downtown Miami. Other than that, I have no other clues as to who may have sent it.

It is a fresh apple, but I'm not going to eat it. Not that I'm superstitious, but maybe someone is trying to cast a spell on me or something. Or maybe it has some kind of significance that I've never heard of. What do you guys think?

22. What kind of apple is it? There may be some significance if
it's a Granny Smith.

3. Unusual story...
I saw an older lady carrying an apple around the other day.

Not like lunch, more in the manner it had some significance to her.

Weird.

No, I have no ideas other than to expand the question. I'd like to
know as well.

10. I was thinking someone was trying to tell me I'm a bad apple
But the apple is fresh, so I ruled that out.

17. The apple I speak of was in good shape as well...
She was carrying in upon a handkerchief.

Maybe it was the same woman who sent it to you? Perhaps you
are in a better position to care for it?

This lady seemed pretty normal and she even asked me for directions.
I saw her out by a pool later and she still had the apple.

Is this a one person phenomenon... Or is it a movement?

4. Maybe, it's someone you know....
or thinks they know you....and they identify with you as like a 'teacher' of things...
...but, they are too shy to say hello.

Just guessing, here.

It's definitely someone I know or someone I've met. Someone I've handed my business card to.

And you live in Miami where Santeria is widely practiced.

21. Santeria was the first thing that came to my mind
But I never heard of apples being used in rituals. Now if I had received a chicken with its head cut off, then I would begin to worry.

25. I found out that fruit is sometimes offered to the Santeria gods
But I didn't read anything about fruit being used to cast spells. But even if it was some of spell, I imagine I would have to bite into it for it to take effect.

Kind of like Adam did when Eve handed him the apple. Hell, maybe this has some Biblical significance.

27. why would you have to bite into it for a spell to take effect?
that is not how magical contagion works, if you touched it, then that's all that is needed, no one expects you to bite into an apple sent anonymously

i would just sprinkle salt on it to neutralize any spell and then toss it out and not worry abt it any more

or if you've already disposed of it, just toss salt in its general direction such as in the trash can where you tossed it

30. I cut it into four pieces just in case anything was inside
But it was just an apple. So I threw it away and I'm not going to worry about it. I'm sure it was just someone playing a practical joke on me.
