I got screamed at this afternoon for letting 2 nuns cross the street
i kid you not. I was driving through a parking lot and i saw 2 elderly woman (turns out they were nuns) about to cross so i stopped, a normal stop not a stand on the brakes stop. There is a guy behind me in a green saturn and he's right on my bumper and he slams on his brakes and than starts with the hand motions and the lays on the horn and starts screaming for me to "What the hell, get going!!!" all the while 2 elderly nuns are crossing in front of my car. My poor kid is in the car with me wondering is this asshat was going to ram into the back of my car, after the nuns cross i "Get going" and he's still right up on my bumper beeping and screaming until i finally stopped and waved him around and gave him a big smile.

4. i couldn't believe it, the look on the nun's faces was priceless
and once they got closer to both cars you could see the nun gear they were wearing so you'd think he would have stopped screaming. What the hell could you need so bad at Mervyn's that you have to get there right now!!?

13. Mervyn's?
You give the asspipe too much credit. He was obviously en route to or from Wal-Mart.

14. We saw him park way across from where i eventually parked, i always
park way at the end so i don't have to worry about parking space stalkers cuz nobody wants a spot that far away from the door. Anyhow my daughter gave him the benefit of the doubt and says "Well mom maybe he's late getting to work, maybe thats why he was in such a hurry" until we saw what he was wearing, shorts, a really old tshirt and flip flops and i thought "No honey, he's just an asshole"

so Havocdad tells me.

5. They used the blackboard pointer on us, mostly. Harder to break
than a ruler.

9. And then there are the ones....
who honk and gesture at you for refusing to sit on train tracks that regular commuter trains pass by at high speed while waiting for the light to change...as is directly forbidden by Illinois law because of a terrible accident 10 or 20 years ago when seven high school students were killed by a speeding train because the bus driver was on the tracks at the time and could not stop.

:evilfrown:

Good for you for letting the nuns pass! I was a good girl, never got my knuckles rapped. O8)

10. thats horrible! I live about 2 miles from a rr crossing and i'm amazed
at how many people go though while the gates are coming down. As for the nuns, even if they weren't i cannot imagine not stopping for a pedestrian, like it was really going to ruin that assholes day to get his parking spot 30 seconds later.

15. Me either...

My priority in the car is to get to my destination safely. If it takes me more time than it might, so be it.

11. The horn blows,
does the driver?

A perfect time to think (or say)

"you drive your car, dickweed, and I'll drive mine".
