I love soccer because....
it's a fast-moving, skillful, international, athletic sport which can be played by kings
or poor children alike!

Any more comments positive to soccer?

1. hmm...
Well, I just watched my team, France, get robbed of a goal by bad referees, as well as two of its players, including Zidane, get their second yellow cards for absolutely nothing. That means they cannot play the next game.

So much for winning the game....

On the bright side the stadium was absolutely electric and not many events bring that out.

5. Yes, I saw that goal
It was close, but in a replay (in slow mo) you can see it was a goal. Sometimes I wish there was instant replay for soccer, but it would slow down the game too much, I guess.

And, yes, the stadium was electric! I wish I could be there! Did you hear that in 2010 World Cup will be in South Africa? That would be a great place to visit, huh?

6. Yes, I do too...I was a little sad to see the Aussie team in blue
when Brazil played in yellow. That would have been simply too much yellow to have both the same, though!!

7. Well, that could be motivation to learn the sport!
I first got hooked on soccer when my hubby and I were dating, in fact (he played indoor soccer). :)

8. This is true...
Did you know the US team is having to sleep at Ramstein Air Force Base, and be transported to their games in an un-marked bus, due to security concerns?

12. I didn't play softball.
Only soccer for me, it's the sport on the top of my list, of best sports.

14. I did play softball, and it was so boring....they always stuck me
in outfield. I wish they played soccer more when I was young...it was just getting popular when I was in High School.
