The Writings of Natalie Maines
I have been looking into the new Dixie Chicks CD lately and recently I realized Maines had a hand in writing just about every song on the CD. Maines seems to be a really good writers and the CD seems to have many good songs on it. I think the Democrats should use either use "Not Ready to Make Nice" or "I Hope". Maybe the Democrats could use both the songs. I think "I Hope" is one of those songs tries to look to the future and looks for better times. It seems to me to be a song that sums up what the Democrats usually try to a achieve. The ideas of giving people more hope, more happiness, more love, and less misery seem to be Democratic themes. I had heard "I Hope" on the NBC Katrina special, but I listened to it again today and it is a good song.

1. I think this is the Chicks most mature album yet.
Rick Rubin is just an incredible producer!
