I was a bad girl
I dissed something which got me yelled at by someone who thought what I was dissing was their savior. I suppose I should apologize, but I don't think so. I don't think what I was dissing was anything more than a stupid machine that while it has capacity for good, also has capacity for evil. (No, I didn't dis a Diebold machine!)

Sometimes the answer for one isn't the answer for all. So instead of making me a real BAAADDD person, they should have simply said, that's your opinion, but it isn't a universally thought one, and many of us feel differently.

Or should I go and say, hey, no hard feelings, but I just don't think it's right for me.

1. Sometimes attempting to explain a misunderstanding
just pours gasoline on the fire. I wouldn't bother. It's better to walk away.

Of course, I tend to think that faith needs to be insulted occasionally just to keep believers from taking their myths too seriously. Believers start thinking their myths should become law and other such nonsense.

2. Agreed
I did go and post a partial apology. But I essentially said that the machine wasn't for me, and I would stick to boards where no one plays the victim. I guess that's part of my problem--there are an awful lot of whiners on the web. I've done my share, too, I know, but I can give as good as I get when it's necessary. People who are unable to accept opinion, commentary and issues without feeling personally attacked need to get thicker skins.

4. If you're talking about religion...
then your opinion is just as good and valid as theirs.

5. Nope
It was on a health issue. I told someone that I give a knee-jerk response everytime a doctor gives a diagnosis on something strictly because a person is overweight. I feel that people who are overweight are easily seduced into believing a lot of things doctors tell them, even though there is a great deal of prejudice in medicine against overweight people. And in this case, I said that a CPAP machine is not necessarily a good thing for some people, including myself.

6. About religion.......
:) I have a reputation here at DU for slamming the RRR as often as I can and in the most egregious way I can. I despise that group and make no qualms about it!
