1. Whoever wins
they'll be a riot tonight in Edmonton.

I can barely hear myself think above all the car horns and screaming outside...and I'm in No Man's Land (aka suburbia), far away from the crowds.

4. I'm not sure who the better team is actually
there are such strong home/road and even strength/special teams disparities

But its all Carolina at the moment

6. SHOULD BE 2-0!
That was a GOAL.

8. Well the latest shot by NBC...
...indicates that it might actually have been a goal. You're right, it should be 2-0.

No call on Pronger. Originally I thought it was cheap but it was barely legal.

18. Don't forget to ridicule baseball and basketball too.
Not much hitting in either of those sports. Strangely enough I find them entertaining just like hockey and soccer. Go figure.

17. Was there a rule change that makes taking a shot on goal
during a 5-on-3 a five minute major? Cause Edmonton was acting as if that were the case.

But if there's ever a team that doesn't give up, it's the Oilers. Maybe they can turn it around in the 3rd.

Edited on Mon Jun-19-06 10:02 PM by notmyprez
I used to watch it all the time, and haven't for ages. (The Bruins sucking royally for years hasn't helped.) This is how the game should be played. I know it's the finals for the Cup, but it's still not always this good, even in that game. Fast game, great skating...the way the game should be.

Edited to add: Too bad they're not still in Hartford.

28. Shocking development; home team wins game 7
Congrats to Carolina. But damn it would have been exciting if that rebound opportunity had tied the game with maybe 3 minutes left.

Miami Heat take note. I suggest you put your best effort tomorrow, because Thursday won't work in your favor.

34. Maybe you can explain football in January to me.
Never could understand why they start well after the weather turns nice, and stop in the dead of winter.

Unless...no, it couldn't be that it would conflict with sports fans' basketball dollars!
