I get my new glasses tomorrow.

Finally I'll again be able to SEE things closer than 4' away!

I've actually been using the vision assistance features on this Mac for the last three months.

I got contacts and new glasses last week and I love them.

Just in time for grad school. I got reading glasses too (ugh) to wear with the contacts. Old age cometh.

2. I cannot get contacts or corrective surgery.

I have a very large "prism" resulting probably from a fall as a child. My eyes do not line up, and the lenses need to be severely wedge-shaped to get them to look in the same direction. Fortunately, they can still do that with no-line bifocals, and thank Dog for the new high refractive index plastics. They are worth the $169.99 I spent (at CostCo) for the JUST the lenses.
