After about the 9000th time I see a message trying very hard NOT to spell anything sexual, my eyes just kind of glaze over and they end up all deleted.

10. Always. It paid off last week, too...
...when I found the weekly newsletter from a friend's business
in there. Someone had played a dirty trick and reported them as
spammers to their ISP, and NO ONE was getting the newsletter,
and I was the first to tip them off.

And some of the old spam was very enjoyable, in a dada poetry
sort of way...but that seems to have slacked off abit lately.

13. I look at headers ...

But, I haven't needed to do this in a long time now, i.e. no false positives in months. It took awhile, but I have Thunderbird trained pretty well. Some stuff still gets through, but not much.
