I woke up to a missing thread...

yes, last night I made a post while I was in an introspective mood. I received one positive response, went to sleep and woke up to find my thread was missing.

I am always curious about that. Those missing threads that we hadly knew. Where do they go? Just into oblivion somewhere?

What did they say?

Did I miss an epic battle?

I will never know.

For all I know, I will interact with others who today who thought I was nothing short of the Devil, or at least Dick Cheney, for posting that thread. Maybe I'll interact with those who have heroically defended me in my absence.

Again, I will never know.

Maybe there was no offense, my thread just wasn't deemed Lounge material. (what is Lounge material?) Or maybe the mods caught something in it they didn't like before anybody else even read it besides that one person?

Maybe I just lost my story, which I took the time to write out. I am a writer. Words are precious. Losing my own words is like losing a life. Now they are gone.

And, I never truly got to know them.

So I raise my coffee cup right now in salute to all the missing threads of the world.

I hate when that happens. I once wrote a really long and well-thought out post, only to find that the thread was removed while I was doing it. The thread was gone, but my post remained. That one totally baffled me...:shrug:

I did that a few times. I am not sure how that happened either.
