2. I like the font, but the color is a little cartoonish for me. But, I'm not
a big fan of yellow anything.

3. Are you a superhero? Do you wear a cape?
If you do, then this is a great logo. If not, I think I might try something a little less dramatic.

4. I'm a graphic designer so I see (and design) a lot of logos.
Since you asked for comments, I'm going to be honest. It's not so good. I'm not sure what you are planning to do with the logo, so if it's a casual thing maybe this is no big deal.

If you are wanting this logo to represent you professionally, it doesn't do the job. The font is bad and nearly unreadable (look at the way the "a" bleeds into the preceeding letter). The drop shadow, the odd slant, and color suggest that this logo was created in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or some other non-graphic program. The stroke around the letter forms is the wrong scale and doesn't help make it any more legible.

If you are wanting a fun, retro-looking logo (which I can understand given the name "Radio Lady"), I would suggest using a font from House Industries or one of the other foundries that specialize in retro type. There are many options out there. Then have your logo rendered in Illustrator with a proper drop shadow and a more satisfying curve and proportion. Even if you want that harder, dimensional shadow like on old movie posters (as opposed to a realistic-looking drop shadow), the one here needs a lot of work. There's nothing wrong with yellow per se, but it's a very harsh yellow and looks even more harsh outlined in black. Perhaps choose a yellow with a touch of red in it, then soften the black.

There are a lot of designers out there that will design a logo for you for a very reasonable price. If you're wanting a more professional look, I would say it may be worth it to google "logo design."

But like I said if this is just a casual thing for a newsletter or something, maybe you'd be fine with this as is.

5. Here's an example...
This isn't perfect, mind you, but I think it is a decent example of what I mean when I say that the color, the shadow and the curve/proportion can be more satisfying...

a real need for a logo. Radio Lady is shared by at least a few people worldwide, and I just happened upon the logo this morning.

I agree that yellow is too bright, and can see the improper blending of the letters. I very much appreciate your various suggestions. Thanks for being so helpful.

In peace,
