Hoping someone can help me with some information!
A while back there was a discussion somewhere on DU about companies attempting to "water down" organic labeling laws. I've searched but can't find it. I'm guessing I'm just using the wrong search criterion.

Does anyone remember this? Do you know where to find it? More importantly, do you remember the companies that were leading the charge?

Reason: A coworker is telling me that a new Whole Foods is coming to Milwaukee. I thought I recalled Whole Foods being listed in the information but can't recall if they were for changing the law or against it.

Thanks in advance for any help you might provide on this subject.

Will

2. This is the best I could do for you.
An advanced google search on du.com.

When I click on the solitary result, it takes me to a DU page that serves only to confuse me. However, it seems you might be able to PM Jeff in Milwaukee...?

3. Wow...
I can see why it confuses you.

Thanks for trying, though. I do appreciate it.

4. Actually, tuvor was absolutely on the right track
If you go back and google "whole foods" and the date on the strange Google result tuvor got, you find that that was the "Whole Foods bans sale of live lobsters, crabs" LBN thread, where you'll find a post by Blasphemer http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x2340740#2343382

where your question is answered in the affirmative. (Well, they're for changing the law; most people would probably consider that negative, of course.)

That's exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks to both of you.

6. Sometimes it's fun to play detective.
Glad it didn't lead to a waste of our time, thanks to undisclosed location.

:)
