I want to see men in Speedos.
On television commercials. Seriously--I've been sick and watching alot of TV lately, and I'm seeing alot of Victoria's Secret commercials and many, many weight-loss product commercials with near-naked women on them. Now, I'm no prude, but as a woman, this doesn't do me any good. How about "Victor's Secret"? How about some Hanes Speedo underwear? What's in it for US? Comments, please!

5. I don't
but if I did, and I was a (hetero) woman, confronted with endless adverts featuring beautiful women in various states of undress, I'd want to see some hot guys in their under/swimwear too.

:hi:

10. Not all men
think having half naked women on every billboard, in every TV advert and magazine is a Good Thing.

I am wondering if I am wierd because I am quite often irritated at being reminded of sex.

11. It's probably just repressed American society
subjugating and then exploiting sexuality.

12. It's not a specifically American thing, it's rife here too.

I don't think it's really about repression, or subjugation either. I think it is simply advertisers aiming their message at the lowest common denominator. Sex is the basic urge that drives the whole animal kingdom, so they figure that to influence the greatest number of people they have to get across one message:

"if you buy our product you will get laid."

That is not to say that chauvinism is absent, but I think that if advertisers genuinely thought that showing half-naked men would sell their product to women, then you would indeed see them. That we don't is probably due to the old-fashioned view that women don't really like sex except to please their men, and this is where, in my opinion, the chauvinism comes in.

3. l want to see some pecs.
Young, hot, conditioned men. Just like the women in those ads. (I'm not averse to pec implants.)
