6. CZE disorganized and down a man going into 2nd half.
This is a real shame... it really looks like the Ghana/USA winner will advance. We have to get our act together.

Think about this, too: If CZE and USA both lose, then the FIFA-ranked #2 and #5 teams will both fail to advance from group play. Amazing.

8. Oh come on people
How can you not root for Ghana - against any other team? These guys are coming from nothing and the whole country will have a 20-year orgasm, why not wish them well? (It is true that on soccer points strictly, the US is the underdog, so I suppose there's some compassion in rooting for them.)

(Onward to the inevitable Brazil/Germany/Argentina/Italy Usual Suspects Final. Awfully frustrating that this is a 99.9 percent certainty, but still great fun to watch every 4 years.)
