I can vote! I'm a white male property owner!
Just bought a condo! So happy! No more rent to shithead landlords, my own place, yeah! Moving in Friday!

It's a converted mansion, 5 units, deeded parking, low fees.

Here are pix of it:


Here is the linving room with faux fireplace and 32" plasma TV (it comes with the unit)


The other wall in the living room


This is the bathroom sink, kinda cool


The bedroom, large size, love the wainscotting


The kitchen, the stove and fridge have since been put in


The front hallway when you enter the front.

Life is GOOD!

1. Ain't it great!
I bought my first home 4 years ago after many years of renting. It is such a liberating feeling to be free of a landLORD. I bought 15 acres and a small house (700sqft)I was able to put over 50% down and will be free and clear next year!
Congratulations on your new BEAUTIFUL home! It looks fabulous!

I'm absolutely THRILLED for you! I know how excited you must be! Even though the packing-up and moving-out then moving-in process is a big headache... just think of all the fun you'll have afterward with decorating and re-decorating and arranging.

It doesn't look like you've got ANY painting or papering to do... but picking out drapes (or swags, or curtains...) will be fun... if not expensive. I predict that your next credit card statement will have multiple purchases from Lowes and from Bed Bath & Beyond.

those are Ralph Loren colors, the building is an architect, so he has all the units like this.

20. I saw your sink and thought, "you've already bought a mixing bowl?"
Then I looked closer and saw the faucet. Yes, that IS a pretty cool design! I like how the house seems to mix different time periods (panels, hallway, and fireplace look 19th-c or earlier, kitchen has a mid-20th-c feel, and the TV is brand new ...).

I'm not sure of the age, but they do have glass door knobs. Nice old feel with a good contemporary mix.

They either left many of the original details or did a fine job recreating them.
Are you still in the city of sin? I know it has some fine old houses. A friend used to own one on the Lynnway near the water. That was back when they were cheap relative to other property near the ocean.

42. He did both, the place was built around 1900 ...
the owner has a degree in architecture, but has an eye for style.

This is in Lynn, in the "Diamond District", which is where all those big houses are. Only a few houses left on the Lynnway, mainly commercial now.

It's 511 sqare feet. Yeah, he has an eye for design and I haven't seen his other places, but I heard they are all nice.
